• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev
The only concession to her grudgingly admitted artistic nature was a broach of rose gold, rumored to be a gift from the queen. She could cow the most insolent of Chorus Girls with a single look, and her spectacles served as an indicator of her mood; just now they were perched on the end of her nose, permitting her gaze to skewer both her work and her ward. pg 67

What I'll be listening to:
A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1)

I've got 20+ hours of car sitting ahead of me. In the meantime, happy reading!

Time is running out for Rhine in this conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Chemical Garden Trilogy.
With the clock ticking until the virus takes its toll, Rhine is desperate for answers. After enduring Vaughn’s worst, Rhine finds an unlikely ally in his brother, an eccentric inventor named Reed. She takes refuge in his dilapidated house, though the people she left behind refuse to stay in the past. While Gabriel haunts Rhine’s memories, Cecily is determined to be at Rhine’s side, even if Linden’s feelings are still caught between them.
Meanwhile, Rowan’s growing involvement in an underground resistance compels Rhine to reach him before he does something that cannot be undone. But what she discovers along the way has alarming implications for her future—and about the past her parents never had the chance to explain.
In this breathtaking conclusion to Lauren DeStefano’s Chemical Garden trilogy, everything Rhine knows to be true will be irrevocably shattered.
How to write this review without spoiling everything in the book... (Obviously I had to think this over since I finished it four days ago... I wish. I'm just lazy.)

I didn't quite know what to expect going into the last book in this trilogy. I absolutely loved the first book, but I think the second book slid down in quality. (Still liked it though.) One aspect about the first book was this slow pace that went surprisingly fast while reading, which I found to be delicious. I was very happy that it made a return in book three. I felt that Sever was a fitting ending to the series. There were parts of the first book, and the second book in particular, that were never fully explained, and it all comes together in a nice little green covered book at the end.

The very begging and the end were a bit slow, I think, but the majority of the book read like lightning. There were so many plot twists that I didn't see, the characters went places I never expected them to go--some things just kind of blew my mind. But one thing I do want to talk about is Linden. As some of you may know, I'm Team Linden. And without spoiling anything too much, I was initially shocked and kind of upset over what becomes of Linden, but as I sat in my room and pondered, I realized that he got a very happy ending. And I'm content. For the most part.

In the end, Sever was everything I wanted it to be and more. It really kept me on my toes, turning pages to see what was going to happen next. Lauren DeStefano can really write, and I cannot wait to read everything else she writes in the future.

My Kitsy Lane Shop!

So, I've set up shop. Literally. I've opened a boutique on Kitsy Lane called In the Attic. I'm very excited about this! What it is basically is an accessory shop, but everything is hand picked by me so all the jewelry is tuned to my tastes and hopefully what everyone else will like too!

But what's really awesome about this is, everything is marked down up to 60% and every Wednesday new items that I choose go on "Flash Sale" so they are marked down even more. All the jewelry is very nice, designer quality. And if you like vintage, shabby chic things, then my shop is definitely for you.

AND-- I have a coupon code to give out! It's $20 off $45 and it expires June 5th. Head on over to my flash sale to use it if you'd like! But, there is a limited number of uses so hurry before someone else gets it! Seriously, there coupons are really nice. I just bought four items yesterday, and they already shipped.

Just enter H6BTW69FTT upon checkout.

I hope to see you in my shop, and look for a upcoming post to see the items I bought!
